'This week, half the Eco Warriors helped Mrs Smart in the Garden area.
The rest of us continued to work on our CD art project!'

Mrs Smart joined the Eco Warriors this week and helped them recycle the bamboo poles from the now demolished bottle greenhouse!
The poles were wired together to form a bean support for the Year 5 garden area!

Eco Award - May!

The winners of the Eco Award for May in KS1 were Mr Baldwin's Class!
In KS2 the winners were Mrs Jeans/Mrs Jestico's Class! Well Done!

'This week we did the Eco checks for the Eco Awards. 
We also top copied our letters to the companies who we are going to ask to kindly donate items to our outside area!'

'We continued writing our letters to local companies at our meeting this week!
We also chose to make a squirrel out of the CDs we collected!

'At our first meeting of the Summer Term we counted the tokens for our next project.
Mrs Smart came to the meeting to explain and discuss her plans for improving the outdoor areas around Plumberow; 
work which will be managed by the Gardening Club alongside the Eco Warriors!'

Well Done to the Eco Award winners this month!
In KS1, the award goes to Mrs Douglas' class and in KS2, to Miss Bailey's class!

'We spent time at our meeting this week managing some housework duties, general tidying and moving the recycling bins for emptying!
We also did our monthly classroom check to decide our Eco Award winners for this month!'
