Dinner Menu

The cost of the school dinner is £2.20 per day.
Foundation and KS1 pupils are entitled to free school meals from September 2014.

Hot meals, which are cooked on the premises, are served using the cafeteria system, and are reasonably priced. There is a choice between a hot meal with vegetables or the Deli (vegetarian option) and salad bar.Children not requiring a hot meal are able to eat a packed lunch in their classrooms. During lunchtime, the children are supervised by a team of Midday Assistants, the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher.

Lunchtime at Plumberow!

The school has invested a large amount of money during the summer holidays to upgrade the school kitchen and all of the resources within it. Added to this, we now have a salad bar that offers a huge range of choice for the children. If the children choose to eat from the salad bar, they can have a jacket potato with a choice of fillings (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), pasta with a choice of sauces, a choice of 12 different salad options and their dessert.

If your child would prefer this option, rather than the hot meal choice, then they will need to inform their class teacher during registration that they want the school vegetarian option. If they still want to eat the normal hot meal choice from the menu, they indicate this during morning registration.

The pupils are VERY happy with the new choices on offer and are getting used to the new equipment too!
