'The AET Maths competition in which we entered teams of Years 5&6 children was a brilliant afternoon with one of the Year 6 Squads winning!! The team were joint first with Ashingdon and now qualify for the County Final in June. The teams had to complete 4 rounds of problem solving activities and it was all about teamwork and collaboration.
The other two squads also did really well too!'

Design & Technology Day at Greensward

A group of Plumberow Year 5&6 pupils joined the pupils from Ashingdon and Hockley at a Design & Technology Day organised and hosted by Greensward!
A full day of activities included designing a logo and mask using the 'Paint' ICT programme and creating their own 'Gotham City' using the 'Sketch Up' ICT programme. They then 'built' a 3D house for their city and designed blister packaging for their character. Their rewards were a certificate, badge and personalised key ring!
Many thanks to Mr Baxter and Mr Salway for the day!

World War II Day!

posted 8 Nov 2016, 10:03 by Sheila Bacon   [ updated 9 Nov 2016, 10:15 ]

Year 6 pupils held a World War II Day as part of their topic! Helped by some members from R+H Services at Cressing Temple, they spent a morning learning more about rationing and the 'dig for victory' campaign, what the schoolroom was like, using gas masks, toys and money, role playing the evacuation and then in the afternoon, making hobby horses!

Another event bringing history to life!
