WOW! From 'Fairy Garden' to a Pirate Shipwreck!! Year 1 pupils did not let the rain stop them transforming their raised flower beds. During the day, suitably clothed (some in the waterproofs bought by Year 1 and funded by the PTA), the children planted pansies and bulbs, made a BRILLIANT scarecrow (who was named Cap'n Barton), designed signs and helped Mrs Smart, Mrs Spremulli and Mrs Hause re-create a shipwreck scene!! They also helped fill the Treasure Chest with jewels (donated by the Havens Charity Shop in Hockley) and took part in lots of other activities! They were rewarded with Hot Chocolate and biscuits, donated and served by staff from Hockley Co-Op! HUGE THANKS to EVERYONE who helped make the day such as a success!

What a transformation!!
