Music at Plumberow Primary Academy

At Plumberow Primary Academy, pupils are given the opportunity to receive tuition for a whole range of different musical instruments, provided by specialist teachers. We also hold and take part in a lot of musical events, including concerts, music festivals, and much more! We will be updating this page with all our latest music stories from Plumberow Primary Academy.

'The Big Sing' - Music Workshops!

posted 21 Jun 2016, 08:54 by Sheila Bacon   [ updated 22 Jun 2016, 02:26 ]

'The Big Sing' music workshop, lead by Gemma, Howard and Eadie, worked with Foundation and Years 1&2 throughout the day!  Each year group had an hour long session which included basic musical elements of rhythm, pitch, dynamics, melody, tempo, character, form and style taught in a stimulating and exciting way.   Each year group learnt a different song and also one that they learnt as a whole key stage. Parents were then invited to hear the children sing!
(Gemma has already worked with our Year 3/4 choir and Year 5/6 choir throughout this year) Further information about 'The Big Sing' can be found here!
